Who we are

Locally owned and operated ISA Certified + Insured Arborist company with more than 10 years of experience caring for trees in the Colorado Front Range area. As a holistic focused tree company, we strive for long-term tree care through pruning, plant care, and client education.

How we work

We’re a small local business with many years in the making. From beginning to end, customers receive one-on-one communication and services from the owner + certified arborist himself.

  • Give us a call if you think your trees need some love or if you have any questions, we’d love to chat. We’ll ask some pre-screening questions and schedule an estimate!

  • We like to keep costs low, which is why we offer free estimates. This is the part where we stare at your trees and get to know our customers in person. It helps us if you’re home during the estimate, but not required.

    Afterward, we’ll send an estimate with all the job details within approval on the customers end.

  • Whether we are pruning, removing, or treating for diseases, we make sure we leave your trees happier than we found them. Feel free to be around for the day or arrange payment beforehand.

  • Whether it’s Epsom Salt to prevent shooters or another round of care for EAB, some jobs require a little aftercare and we’re here to help. Don’t worry, we’ll be sure to share this information with you and schedule as needed.

About The Owner

Owner of Down to Earth Tree Service and Science

owner + certified arborist

As a past graduate of the University of Wisconsin Stout, Charles found his passion for trees through his Applied Science: Environmental Science - Land Resource Management degree. Originally from the midwest, his love for the mountains brought him to work for Blue River Forestry and Swingle (now Savatree) in the Colorado Front Range, eventually working for the City of Longmont and the City of Boulder before starting Down To Earth full-time. When he’s not in the trees, you can find him climbing rocks, biking, running, practicing yoga, or hanging out with his family and his dog Willow somewhere in the mountains.
